Hello, Sunshine!

As I sit at my craft table looking out the window, I see a cold day, snowing, no sign of spring in sight. I MISS MY GARDEN!

OK, now that I've got that tantrom out of my system, I decided to make a card with these fun floral garden overalls. I wish I had a pair just like these to work in my garden. But to help me dream through these winter doldrums, Julee provided us with a MOJO Monday Sketch challenge #177 that worked perfectly for my dreams of gardening and warm sunshine. Below is this week's sketch challenge:

Card Recipe:
Stamps: Rose Gardeing Bibs from Impression Obsession, Inc and the sentiment is from Papertrey Ink
Ink: Momento Tuxedo Black, Momento Bamboo Leaves, Tim Hotz Antique Linen
Paper: October Afternoon Thrift Shop
Cardstock: Stampin' Up!
Embellishments: Daisy Doodle flowers, Martha Stewart Leaf punch, Stickles, Coats and Clark Buttonhole twist thread, Button Brad, miscellaneous brass trowel charm.

How about you? Are you counting the days until spring and getting out in the garden?

Until next time,

Cheers!

Jennifer

  1. 41! Been counting since it was about 96. Yeah, start when I start getting fed up with winter, even if winter isn't officially here yet. This is darling! Also like your swinging cats and zooming bears. Hope you and Paul are warm and well (the fur babies, too).

  2. Sorry! my 'puter is reacting really slow and weird tonight. I really did mean to sign my name and thought I did. At least this way you're twice as wonderful!

  3. Awww - the little shovel is incredibly cute and a perfect touch to your quaint card.

Hey, I'm not complaining, being here in southwestern BC Canada and we have NO SNOW. I have a feeling we will get spring early and then I DO look forward to getting my hands in the soil, sun on my face.

Thanks for bringing springtime to the mojo.

  4. Your card is striking, Jennifer. I am amazed at how you coloured the flowers on the image and then coloured the blue around each flower. That is amazing.

We are in Ontario as well and I so miss my garden too. We don't think we will ever be able to fertilize our front lawn since we have a snow bank that is about 12' high and encroaches our front yard by at least 8 feet!

  7. Hopefully this year you wouldn't have a little critter eating all your veggies.

Wonderful card Jennifer, the little shovel adds that special touch.
