The creative design team at THE STAMP SHACK posts new challenges each week. Sometimes they are color challenges, sometimes the challenge has to do with a specific type of technique with which you may experiment, and this week's challenge is a SKETCH CHALLENGE. This week there are two sketches we can use.
My CT Sketch challenge for the first sketch this week is using the new stamps I bought at HEATHER'S STAMPING HAVEN, in Ottawa, and created the layout as per the creative teams's instructions. I like this. Granted, it is loud and almost gaudy but imagine the feeling you feel on "life's roller coaster" as it gets busy, colorful and active.
For my second sketch challenge I used this Charles Dicken's poem to create an autumn themed card using the sketch as the basis for the layout. The Dickens poem stamp is by Northwoods Rubber Stamps, Inc. The grapevine at the top and bottom are from a retired Stampin' UP! set called Nellie the Nest Lady. (My favorite SU set that I own.) I used a tiny leaf punch and then took the punchouts and applied them to the side for the second added element.
I love bright colors - this card is really cute.
ReplyDeleteThis is sooo very pretty. Love it!!
ReplyDeleteI really like both of these cards. The rollercoaster one cracks me up. The second one makes me feel so warm. Nice job.
ReplyDeleteFirst card is so fun and second is so warm and cozy. Great job!
ReplyDeleteFabulous card, Jennifer. So, I'm reading your blog and it finally clicked into me that you are the Jennifer who sent me that house mouse stamp. Too funny! Thank you again. DH told me you live near Merrickville. Small world. We looked around at houses since we hope to move there upon DH's retirment in 1 1/2 years.
ReplyDeleteWow beautiful cards and you did a wonderful and creative job of following the sketches! Great job!
