This is a bit of a change for me. I've never been particularly fond of making ATCs (Artist Trading Cards.) In fact, I really didn't enjoy them at all. However I guess you really can teach an old dog new tricks because recently I've found that these little ATCs are a lot of fun to make and trade. 
These Pumpkin Patch ATCs are made for an ATC swap I'm participating in at The Stamp Shack. The theme for the swap is "Pumpkins, pumpkins everywhere". I'm eager to exchange these with the other swap participants to see the variety of ATCs following the theme.Now, you ask, how did I make these so sparkle-y? For these I used a pumpkin brass stencil, sticky paper and ultrafine glitter. This is a technique and product I bought last fall when I was at a stamp show in Fort Wayne, IN. It is a super fun way to use some of those brass stencils you have kicking around.
I'm still a card maker at heart, but for the purpose of swapping and getting new ideas for card making techniques, I think I'll be participating in more ATC swaps.Cheers!
Look out! ATCs can be addictive! I actually taught a little program on them a couple years ago to the members of my calligraphy guild and we trade at meetings. Your pumpkin card is amazing. Are there any pumpkins in your garden? The brocolli looks award winning. Happy Weekend!

ReplyDeleteFabulous! I tried to do something like this after I saw these. I can only say that I'm still finding glitter here and there. I'm not good with sparkly things, so I'm signing up for a class to learn the tricks. Yours are gorgeous.
