Many Thanks - card
I had a wonderful Christmas and have a lot of people to send notes to expressing my thanks for spoiling me so! LOL This week's Mojo Monday layout challenge provided me with a layout to make a bit different type of card. Below is the sketch:
I spent a few hours yesterday stamping and coloring images. What a relaxing way to spend an afternoon while watching the snow fall outside my window. As I look around my stamp studio I realize how MANY stamps I have that have sat un-inked for far too long. I'm going to challenge myself this year to use what I have, in the way of stamps, tools, embellishments and paper. I can't seem to part with any stamps and I'm up in the 3000 numbers of stamps owned (YES! I said 3000). So hopefully in 2010 I'll be posting a lot of cards and projets using some well loved "oldies". I won't say I will not buy any new stamps but I think you'll see a lot of oldies but goodies.
Off to color and assemble cards now.
Cheers!
Jennifer

Jennifer, this is lovely too! I am with you on using my "oldies"--I am not sure how many stamps I own, but it is probably close to your number, if I counted them separately. I want to challenge myself as well, but being a demo makes me feel like I "have" to have some new stuff too!!!
ReplyDeleteGorgeous, the colors are so pretty. Looking forward to seeing some of your oldies throughout the year.
ReplyDeleteJennifer, I too have a LOT and try to use the oldies also, this card is lovely. Hugs
ReplyDeleteWhat a great card.. those colors and patterns make it very warm feeling!
ReplyDeleteOH MY!! This is incredibly beautiful Jennifer! Love the vintage look of the dp and the layout if perfect! I hear you about using the stamps we've got! I too have SO many that have been neglected far too long! But, dang it if I don't keep seeing new ones I want to buy!! Love your new blog look too. Happy New Year! Smiles, Pam :) p.s. i've got a SNOW DAY today...yes, more snow, high winds and bitter COLd here in Nebraska!
ReplyDeleteGorgeous card!! Love the papers.Every thing goes so well together..Very lovely!!!
ReplyDeleteHugs, Linda
Jennifer, this card is so beautiful. What is the paper you've used please? Absolutely gorgeous.
ReplyDeleteThis is lovely
ReplyDeleteVery pretty! Your papers and colors are a romantic feel, wonderful job.
ReplyDeleteElegant, feminine, pretty. So 365 days divided into 3000 stamps should mean we can expect to see approximately 9 cards a day! Yippee! lol xo
ReplyDeleteYou should join our oldies challenge this week. It is posted on my blog...time to dust off all those stamperoonies!I don't even want to start counting how many I have and how many have never even seen ink...OH MY!
