Ruff day
A fellow Newfie owner took a big spill on an icy patch of pavement while walking his Newf, Snuffles. He ended up being taken by emergency vehicle to the hospital where he had surgery, but in true Newfie owner fashion even while lying on the frozen ground, Leonard pulled out his cell phone and called friends and family to find someone to come and get Mr. Snuffles...even before he called 911.
Here is my thinking of you and heal soon card for Leonard. The dog is one of the adorable stamps from Eat Cake Graphics. I stamped with black versafine on watercolor paper and watercolored the image with Tombow markers. It is hard for me to paint a black dog without making the whole image disappear into blackness.
I did add a bit of bling, even though this card is for a man. I used Gunmetal Stickles on various parts of the dog's coat to add sheen and a bit of fruit punch stickles to the tongue. On the eyes I put dabs of dimensional glaze.
Get well soon, Leonard.

What a cute dog! Sorry your friend took a spill, but with this deep-freeze we're in, who can see the ice under the snow. Hope he, and Mr. Snuffles, are doing okay. Your card is amazing, as always.
ReplyDeleteAdorable card for the occasion. Ouch for Leonard...hope he is on the mend soon.
ReplyDeletethis is so sweet! love the image! hope you are staying warm!
ReplyDeleteThis card is cute and not too girly for a guy. Nice coloring. Every card needs a bit of stickles. P.S. Cheeto is home!
ReplyDeleteVery cheerful, uplifting card and love the sentiment. Hope L is doing good.
