Trick or Treat
This Vintage Halloween stamp is made by Paper Inspirations and is titled Halloween Traveler K8040. I stamped it on acetate and then couldn't decide if I wanted to color it or if I did, how much and with what? I finally decided to turn the acetate over and color the back side with my Stickles glitter. I used yellow stickles on the moon and green stickles on the thingy that hangs from the jack-o-lantern on the stick. For the pumpkin I used an orange sharpie permanent marker and added yellow stickles to the jack-o-lantern face. The background paper is some old Wild Asparagus that I had from last Halloween. Punched photo corners and green brads and stitching fills out the card. Last I decided it needed a sentiment so I stamped "trick or treat" with the $1 Michael's stamp.
I'm trying to decide how else to use this Vintage Halloween stamp. It is so cute but I am finding it is difficult to get a clear image, with the exception of on this acetate which really shows the detail.
Any use suggestions from those of you who are experienced using photo stamps like this?

I really like the layout on this one!! Thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeletethis is so adorable. I love the effect you created. awesome image too!
ReplyDeleteIt's wonderful Jennifer. I love the stickles and can only imagine how sparkly it really is. Photo stamps are fun to play with, but I don't find myself doing alot of coloring on them. I tend to distress/color the cardstock before I stamp with versafine.
ReplyDeleteLOVE this Jennifer! Another way to use it would be to try it on glossy cardstock stamped with Ancient Page Coal Black ink. I wonder if any more of the detail would show up then. I am just LOVING Paper Inspirations stamps these days!
ReplyDeleteSo cute!! I bet it's really glittery and sparkly IRL too :)
ReplyDeleteMy only suggestion for photo stamps is to use a fine detail inkpad like Versafine and brayer your paper over the stamp to pick up all the details - that's the best I can do :)
I think you could have fun using this stamp on acetate and doing 'caught in crystal' behind it (glue, paint, glitter and tissue paper).
Terrific card Jennifer! Love the use of the transparency and the stickles!! And good thoughts here for the photo stamps.
