Did you miss me?

We have been without internet for 5 days. Twenty years ago it wouldn't have meant a thing. Today, though, being without internet feels similar to being cut off from the world with no mail delivery!

Anyway, I haven't been idle while computer-less. This is my favorite of things I made. The Rooster stamp is from a retired Stampin' Up! set called "Roosting." The background paper is Daisy D's (Does it look familiar? I used it last week too.)

I think I like this card the best of the cards I made because it uses some of my favorite things: Rooster stamp, feathers (I love putting feathers on cards), stitching and of course, coloring with my prismacolor pencils.

Thanks for checking in with me. I've really missed looking at everything my blogging buddies have been posting!

  2. Wow, this is a really neato card. I like the old-fashioned kitchen-y feel to it.

  4. I missed you! So glad you came back with some inspiration. I adore the baby chick yellow feather here with your gorgeous coloring. I tried to color a rooster and he is pitiful, I'll use yours as a springboard next time. You know I love the stitching, too.

  7. I still don't understand the fascination your generation has with roosters. The rooster stuff we sell at CASHCO1000 on Ebay and Amazon (shameless plug) is flying off the shelves. They're not exactly cute...the don't lay eggs...and they're noisy. What gives? Someone explain this to me.
